Captains log

Number 2 and I have found ourselves childless for a few days.

Relic has embarked on his first adult free canoe trip; 60 km over 5 days in Algonquin. We are so incredibly proud of him, this is a rite of passage and I can’t wait to hear all about it. Although I’m sure he’s having the time of his life I have no doubt he’s missing me terribly.

The Dutchess also shocked us by emerging from below deck to go camping with her cousin and grandparents for the week.

Although we find ourselves absolutely lost without the crew we have managed to carry on. I find mornings the hardest, waking up and consuming an entire coffee before I have to reheat it again, and no one to bellow at to get out of bed. It's such a hard way to start my day.

Furthermore, The floors are free of wet towels, stinky socks and freezie wrappers so I have absolutely no one to pick up after. If this continues I'll be forced to find a new hobby other than cleaning.

Also, my chauffeur duties have come.to a grinding halt. I’ve only had to drive into town once today. I am at a complete loss of what to do, I find the extra free time stressful.

I guess we will just have to sit on the deck and await their return. 😜
