Captain's Log

Our unbelievably thoughtful neighbor Emma offered everyone on our block a free mini porch Portraits session this April. A random act of kindness that was so incredibly generous. Family photos are rare and I intend on treasuring these.

I’m pretty sure this was on a day where the entire crew was struggling with so much togetherness and isolation. Minutes before I’m sure I screamed at them to get out their pjs and fake it, smile and pretend that we are a nice happy family.

The reality is though, as much as I’m sure we were driving each other insane, when I see these photo all I can think of is how much I love my family and how blessed I am. (Full disclosure, I have had 2 glasses of wine, so i may have Pinot tinted glasses on.)

As hard as COVID has been, I am grateful for this time that I would have never had otherwise.
