Captain’s Log

This evening, I cut the engine and let the ship drift for a bit. I found myself a quiet corner, from which I could read a mediocre 200-page romance novel while the crew did whatever they wanted as long as they didn’t bug me.

I found myself experiencing such peace at the moment and let myself focus on the wonderful positive family time of social distancing. (full disclosure at this time I’ve-had 2 glasses of wine)

With this beautiful wine buzz, I’m allowing myself to feel joy being stuck at home with the kids and no end date on the horizon.
